The birth place of Hip Hop was right here on Sedgwick Ave in the Bronx New York.  A few months ago this building went up for foreclosure due the low tenant rates.  Residents say many have moved because of the increase in rent over the years.  All that has changed now the building stands as a historic landmark thanks to the help of Dj Kool Herc, a pioneer of the musical art form.  He actually used to Dj parties and MC battles in the apartment’s basement.   ~F.C.K
